Chemical peels
Quality Care That Lasts
A chemical peel involves a chemical solution being applied to the skin causing the dead skin to slough off and eventually peel. The regenerated and resurfaced skin is smoother, with better texture and less lines than the old skin. A chemical peel works by inducing a controlled wound to the skin, removing the top layers of the skin causing collagen remodelling. Peels can be used to treat sun damage, wrinkles fine lines, texture, skin pigmentation and the general appearance of the skin.
Chemical peels range from the least invasive to the most invasive, this relates to their strength, which will determine how deep they will peel. The least invasive peels also have the least risks and complications, but the most invasive peels, have the greatest potential to improve

Skin needling
During skin needling, the needling device (which has a cylinder with multiple microneedles on it) is rolled back and forth on the skin, causing multiple punctures in the skin.
Skin needling is also known as “Collagen Induction Therapy”. It is helpful in particular for scarring, pigmentation and skin rejuvenation.
The needles cause thousands of puncture holes in the skin when the wheel is rolled over the skin in multiple passes. This is followed by wound healing and subsequent collagen production. With this new collagen production, results will start to be seen at 3 months and will increase for up to 12 months. The patient will notice improvement in acne scars, wrinkles and skin texture and tightness.
Laser therapy
Laser resurfacing is a treatment to reduce facial wrinkles and skin irregularities, such as blemishes or acne scars. The technique directs short, concentrated pulsating beams of light at irregular skin, precisely removing skin layer by layer.

Dermal filler
Dermal fillers are also known as “soft tissue fillers”. They are a substance which is injected below the surface of the skin. The purpose of dermal fillers is for the patient to look more young or more beautiful after treatment.
Dermal fillers are used to enhance appearance or to treat ageing. They can be injected under most of the skin of the body, from the scalp to the toes. They can be used to for volumising or to treat folds or wrinkles, or to reshape the face. Popular areas for the use of dermal fillers include lips, cheeks, chin, nose, forehead, jawline, temples and hands.
The satisfaction rate is high. The retention rate reveals how much patients love filler ie once they have it, they want to have it again.

Microdermabrasion
Microdermabrasion is a technique where the skin is exfoliated by a diamond head with a central vacuum. Exfoliation is great for many skin conditions including acne and sun damage, and for rejuvenation. The outer layer of skin is removed leaving a smooth textured layer underneath.
Depending on the problem, you may start by having a series of 6 microdermabrasions every fortnight. After this, microdermabrasions should be performed as part of your facial every 4-6 weeks.
Everyone who would like fresher, younger, clearer and better textured skin. It should be part of an acne treatment regime.

LED
LED stands for “Light Emitting Diode” The most well known brand of LED phototherapy is Omnilux. In LEDs, a current is pass through small semi-conductors causing light to be emitted. For skin rejuvenation, light is emitted through specific wavelength bands.
Different wavelengths may be used to target different skin conditions, including acne or for aging skin treatment. The wavelengths will be targeting different depths in the skin and will cause different effects.
The red light wavelength of LED induces a mild inflammation in the targeted skin cells which causes an immune response that aids in regeneration. THis can help to rejuvenate skin and also to aid healing of the skin.
The blue light wavelength of LED targets porphyrins (which are the product of P. Acnes, the bacteria associated with acne), producing an oxygen free radical that destroys the bacteria.
